Book Review: We Are Totally Normal

Nandan’s got a plan to make his junior year prefect, but hooking up with his friend Dave isn’t part of it— especially because Nandan had never been into guys.
Still, Nandan’s willing to give a relationship with him a shot. But the more his anxiety grows about what his sexuality means for himself, his friends, and his social life, the more he wonders whether he can just take it al back.
Is breaking up with Dave — the only person who’s ever really gotten him — worth feeling “normal” again?
First things first. EVERYONE NEEDS A COPY OF THIS BOOK! Secondly, Oh My Word! What a book do we have here, this is one of the most unique books I have read. One of the most books to offer real relationships, real social dynamics, and questioning sexual identity.
This is not your everyday book, this book does not follow the conventional structure of most books where it is clear conflict and clear resolution. Rather, the book is filled with utterly intense and authentic interactions where meanings and the story’s underlying substance can be found in between the lines.
The relationships that Rahul has written is incredibly insane. I won’t necessarily say this a romance book with hearts and love floating all around the place. This book is not pretty at all, hence why this book is such a beautiful write. Nandan is so frustrating at times, I left like throwing the book in a deep hole but at the same time you’re trying to figure out what’s happening with Nandan and how he fixes into this messed up world.
Well done to the author for sharing with us this outstanding incredible story. Can’t seriously wait what Rahul has in store for us next. Finger crossed, that his next project finds a special place in our heart just as Nandan and Dave found a place in our hearts.
