The story follows a girl named McKenna. On here 17th birthday, waking up to a vivid dream about a witch burning at the stake. Strange things starts happening, she is experiencing strange and off things. She starts learning about her mother that she never knew before. McKenna wants to learn who she really is but before knowing she needs to understand who her mother really is. McKenna along with Nissa, a strange new girl, she meets at school, embarks in a journey across the Atlantic, to Ireland to fine out the truth.
K.T created such a breathtaking setting around Boston and Ireland, made you feel like you were walking right besides McKenna. This is a book that everyone must have on their read list for this year. I love how the story has so many life lessons attached to it that everyone can learn from and apply it to their daily lives. The best part of this wonderful books is that it is suitable for ANY AGE GROUP!!
The plot is really good, I personally felt that is was a bit too fast and rushing into thing at the beginning of the book, towards the ends of the book, the book becomes slow paced and feels like the author was dragging it out. Plenty of twists which makes the book more interesting. At the end I had so many thought running around.
.Is Cillian really trying to help McKenna or is he trying to gain points for himself?

.Is Andre really fighting for Seàn or is there more to Andre that meets the eyes?
.Do we meet Nissa’s father?
.Is Nissa supernatural as well?
I seriously can’t wait for the next installment
